Self-Assessment Tools

A place to start, before you are ready to talk.

Not everyone who visits this page is ready for a phone call. That is fine. These tools are for reflection, not diagnosis. They are designed to help you notice something and name it more clearly.

Is technology quietly changing your relationships?

Technoference is the interference that technology creates in our face-to-face relationships. It is not dramatic. It often looks like a phone on the dinner table, a partner who checks email during a conversation, or a child who cannot hold attention without a screen. It accumulates slowly.
This 8-question self-assessment was developed by Risa Muchnick, Psy.D., based on her clinical and consulting work at the intersection of technology and relationships.

No data is stored. Results are shown to you only. This tool does not replace clinical evaluation or professional consultation.

What do your results mean?

This tool is a starting point. If your results surfaced something that feels significant, or if you want to talk through what you noticed, a screening call is a low-pressure way to find out whether therapy or consulting might help.
